From Shenzhen to the world|Vibrant Guangdong
On April 22nd, the world's largest cargo ship for vehicles, the BYD Shenzhen, built by a shipyard owned by China Merchants Group,was delivered, marking a significant advancement in its global supply chain layout. To date, BYD's NEVs have reached over 400 cities in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. The operation of the BYD Shenzhen will further enhance BYD's delivery capacities in major global markets.

BYD Shenzhen, the fourth car carrier operated by BYD, measures 219.9 meters in length and 37.7 meters in width, with 16 decks capable of carrying up to 9,200 vehicles, making it the most capacious one among roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) shipscurrently in operation globally. This liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel-poweredcar carrier is green, intelligent and efficient. In the first quarter of 2025, these ships transported over 25,000 NEVs overseas.
"The BYD Shenzhen is not just a ship, but also a maritime bridge connecting Chinese intelligent manufacturing with global markets. It will carry BYD's NEVs to enable global users to enjoy the benefits of China's technological advancements," said Wang Junbao, general manager of BYD's public business division, at the delivery ceremony.

At the same time, Shenzhen is accelerating the development of a multimodal transportnetwork integrating sea, land, air, and rail. Shenzhen Portis now the world's fourth-largest container port, with 7.88 million TEUs throughput in foreign trade in the first quarter of this year, a year-on-year increase of 19.6%. The "Bay Area Express," part of the China-European freight train, has operated over 4,000 trains, reaching 227 cities in 25 European countries and over 100 cities in 11 Asian countries, with 53 categories of goods including vehicles, machinery and electronics. Shenzhen Baoan International Airport currently operates cargo routes to 44 cities in 25 countries, making it a key aviation hub in the GBA. In the first two months of this year, the airport handled 148,000 tons of import and export cargo, a year-on-year increase of 22.9%, setting a record high for the period.

Through the establishment of an integrated multimodal logistics system, Shenzhen is efficiently connected to the world. In many cities globally, more and more overseas consumers place orders for "Shenzhen-made" products via e-commerce platforms. One netizen shared, "I ordered Chinese products in Japan and received them in just a day and a half, even faster than the local express delivery!" In March 2025, Shenzhen's total import and export volume reached 387.05 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.3%, outpacing the national growth rate by 6.3 percentage points. Of that, exports reached 218.53 billion yuan, up 8.8%, and imports stood at 168.52 billion yuan, up 17.2%.

深圳出发,驶向全球
4月22日,由招商局旗下船厂制造的全球最大汽车运输船——比亚迪“深圳号”正式交付,标志着比亚迪新能源汽车全球供应链布局再进一步。截至目前,比亚迪新能源汽车已走进全球100多个国家和地区、400多个城市。“深圳号”的投入使用,将提升比亚迪在全球重点市场的交付能力。
“深圳号”是比亚迪运营的第四艘专业汽车运输船,总长219.9米、型宽37.7米,共设16层甲板,可容纳9200辆汽车,具备当前全球已投用汽车滚装船中最大的载车能力。该船采用LNG双燃料清洁动力,是一艘绿色、智能、高效的运输船。2025年第一季度,比亚迪滚装船已运输超过2.5万辆新能源汽车出口海外。
“‘深圳号’不仅是一艘运输船,更是连接中国智造与世界市场的‘海上桥梁’,将承载比亚迪新能源汽车,让全球用户共享中国技术红利。”比亚迪集团对公事业部总经理王俊保在交付仪式上表示。
与此同时,深圳也加速构建“海陆空铁”多式联运网络。深圳港现为全球第四大集装箱港,今年一季度外贸吞吐量达788万标箱,同比增长19.6%。中欧班列“湾区号”累计开行超4000列,通达欧洲25国227城,亚洲11国超100城,运输品类涵盖整车、机械、电子等53类。深圳机场目前机场货运航线通达25国44城,成为大湾区重要航空枢纽。今年前两个月,机场进出口货运量达14.8万吨,同比增长22.9%,创同期新高。
通过“海陆空铁”的多式联运物流体系的构建,深圳高效联通全球。在全球多个城市,越来越多海外消费者通过电商平台下单“深圳制造”。有网友分享:“我在日本下单中国商品,1天半就收到了,比本地快递还快!”2025年3月份,深圳市进出口3870.5亿元,同比增长12.3%,增速较全国快6.3个百分点。其中,出口2185.3亿元,增长8.8%;进口1685.2亿元,增长17.2%。
